This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) explains our privacy practices and provides information on how and why we collect, use and share your personal information through our interaction with you in relation to our services, when you visit our website or communicate with us to communicate and stay informed regarding upcoming appointments.  
 

When you register and create an account with Lila Counseling and Wellness, we collect the following person information for the purposes of communicating. Name, and phone Number(s). This information will be collected during your initial intake or upon receiving consultation request via our website. 
 

Purpose of Data Collection:

Collecting this information from you, will enable Lila Counseling and Wellness to provide upcoming reminders of your appointment(s). 
 

Data Security: 

Lila Counseling uses a secured HIPAA compliant platform to ensure your personal information is kept private, confidential and only used for the purpose of informing clients about upcoming appointments. Only authorized personnel can access your personal information to communicate on behalf of Lila Counseling and Wellness. 
 

Data Sharing: 

Please note that SMS consent or phone numbers collected for SMS will not be shared under any circumstances for marketing purposes. 
 

User Rights:

At any given moment, you can inform Lila Counseling and Wellness if you wish to communicate via SMS, would like to delete the number connected to your account and/or if you require any personal information update.
 

Confidentiality:
As a licensed therapist, I am committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all clients. We are HIPPA compliant. 

Required Authorization:
Your written consent is necessary to use or disclose your Protected Health Information, with few exceptions. 

Session Information:
Notes on therapy sessions, discussions, and progress are securely protected.  To access your session notes, you must log into the client portal.  

Payment Information:
We will use the personal data you give to us in order to process your payment for the purchase of goods or services under a contract. We only use third party payment processors that take the utmost care in securing data and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation.   

Exceptions to Confidentiality:  
Therapist are mandated reported and must report specific situations, such as: 

• Child abuse, elder abuse, or abuse of vulnerable adults. 

• Imminent danger to yourself or others.
